Is having an estate sale in the Winter months a good idea?

In short YES! Estate sales in the colder months or near the holidays and winter months are great.

Historically we have seen great results in having estate sales in the winter months Nov-Feb have proven to be one of the best times to have an estate sale (at least for us). Estate sale  and garage sale shoppers have less options during these months and the turnout for sales in these months are not only stronger but the buyers are buying more items for higher prices.

We have had dozens of sales in the winter months here in Virginia and they have all been great. Remember estate sales are inside so the outside temp is not a huge factor. People will come and they will buy.
